The Great Lock In 2025

75 Hard (or something like it)

Welcome to the Great Lock-In of 2025! On 1 September, the internet collectively decided to go hard and lock in for the rest of the year (or at least 75 days), inspired by 75 Hard. If you’re new to it, 75 Hard is a health and wellbeing challenge designed to glow you up inside and out.

The rules: two 45-minute workouts a day (one must be outdoors), follow a diet (no cheat days; no alcohol), drink a gallon of water (≈ 3.8 L), read 10 pages of a non-fiction self-development book (no audiobooks), take a daily progress photo and if you miss anything, you go back to Day 1.

We’re loading the week with run clubs to tick off those outdoor sessions:

  • Rise and Stride - Takapuna based, Wednesday mornings. If your brave join them for an Ocean Plunge afterwards.

  • Balance Run Club - Various locations, Thursday evenings. For those who like to Run and Rave.

  • Monday Underground - Northcote Tavern, Monday evenings. Good for all ages if you want (need) to bring the kids along.

  • Social Striders - Various locations, Tuesday mornings, Thursday evenings, Saturday mornings. For those who like a Yap with their Lap.

We’re kicking off with a #BookTok pick: The 12 Week Year
